ABOUT DAVID JOHN HALL
In 2005, based on a tip from a friend, I opened first trading account and placed my first trade. With no idea what I was doing I put my entire account in Sirius Satellite Radio (SIRI) -- 3 days from the top. Over the next few months I got the best education you can have in the marekt:
I LOST MONEY!
After that trade I was hooked. I spent day and night studying the markets, reading books, watching videos and subscribing to online "gurus". I spent a lot of money, took more trades, lost a more money.
Finally, after 3 years of constant work and commitment, I started to get a clue and I haven't looked back since.
MY STRATEGY
You can read more about my trading strategy here, but in summation, I trade long base breakouts on low priced stocks and look to hold for 1-20 days with a target gain of 25-50%. My stops are usually around -15% which gives me a healthy 3:1 risk ratio.
When conditions are right I place about 4-6 trades per month. When conditions are wrong you'll find me sitting on my cash and backtesting new methods or writing articles for my blog.
Other passions include screenwring (I've written 14 of them), surfing, working out (just finished P90X!), mountain biking, trance music, lounge clubs, spending quality time with friends and, of course, blogging!
